What about President Barack Obama's second term will be different from the first term? We still are looking at a fiscal cliff, some of the Pundits out there are saying it's "more like stepping off a curb than a cliff", I say anything that puts us back at square one puts us too far back. We still have a House that is controlled by the most radical group of Republicans since McCarthy and his Red Scare of the 1950's and a Senate that doesn't have a super majority capable of preventing a Filibuster. President Obama will still have to deal with John Boehner and Mitch McConnell not to mention Eric Cantor, with these three men still in positions of authority in the House and Senate we can look forward to more of the same that we have had for the past four years, filibusters in the Senate and the House passing bills to allow drilling for oil in every ones backyard as well as bills to examine every woman's vagina, and least we forget the bills to repeal "Obamacare", considering that most of "Obamacare" was passed with Republican plans for healthcare in it this makes me wonder why they want to repeal it.
The biggest evidence I have that the President won't get any help from the congress is House Speaker Boehners remarks on Wednesday, after he had remarked that Obamacare was the law of the land, and then Mitch McConnells remarks not long after or just before. The only thing that Mitch McConnell got right was the fact that the Democrats didn't win a mandate, but, by the same token neither did the Republicans, overall the election was a stalemate everything is the same as it was in Washington before the election. As we all know before the election the Republicans in Washington refused to work with the President before the election because they didn't want him having a second term, well, they failed at that, but, true to the nature of this GOP they've decided to double down on the failed policies that caused them to lose the election, no tax increases for the upper wage earners, (that means not getting rid of the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy which if they were gotten rid of would put us back at the Clinton era taxes). No cuts to the military, which we desperately need. The Republicans in the House want to cut Social Security and turn Medicare into a voucher system, they want to cut funding to schools, and emergency services, but, God forbid we tax the rich at all. President Obama had it right during the campaign, everyone should pay their fair share, it isn't a fair share when the top wage earners in this country pay less than the folks who work for them in taxes.
I've been watching the news today and what I have seen on there I find totally Plutocratic, owners of factory's and business laying people off, not because the economy is bad, but, because Romney lost the election and President Obama won, what a bunch of self centered A**holes! Tuesday night riots at Ole Miss because Obama won, signs being waved around saying, "Kill the N in the White House". Is this what we have come to in this country? You aren't an American unless you think like everyone else, or you aren't white? Really? The rhetoric has gone on long enough it's time to get to work and fix the economy, but, I fear as long as there are people in Congress like Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and the Tea Party Representatives we will not see anything getting done that will help the American people, because they don't like the guy in the White House because he is _______________— fill in the blank. The facts are these, whether you like them or not, President Obama is a Christian, African-American, Patriot, who cares about this country and where it is going. If you care about this country and where it is going then maybe you should try backing the president over the next four years, because readers, that's how long he's going to be in the White House. If your congressman or senator is one of the ones I mentioned in this article maybe you should write him and let him know he needs to do his job the right way, work for the American people instead of against them, because my friend, they have been working against you for the past four years.
